Recent Innovations in Welding

!±8± Recent Innovations in Welding

There has been a burst of innovation in the welding industry lately which has led to better, higher-quality machines that do the job at less cost and less fuss.  Recent welders using advanced electronics are now able to provide the same amperage by running off of normal household current instead of 220v which is much less common.

This can mean that setting up takes less time, and you can easily weld in places that were tough before.  If you have a manufacturing facility, this can also mean lower energy bills too.  It also means that welder you needed to roll around before can now be handheld and more easily carried to job sites and problem with you into small spaces.

Other welders now come with a built-in generator so that you can power additional tools like lights or a grinder, and use the welder as back-up power in your next power outage.  This is a welcome innovation that puts two very useful tools in one compact package that often costs less than buying a generator and then purchasing a welder separately.

Both of these provide convenience and power that simply wasn't available even just a few years ago in the welding industry.  In some cases, you must choose whether to make power or to weld at one time, while other more expensive units allow both to occur at the same time. We look forward to future innovations which allow more power for your dollar, and making welding in tough places even easier.

Homemade Solar Power Made Easy

!±8± Homemade Solar Power Made Easy

The idea of making homemade solar power was unheard of 20 years ago, but today is one of the fastest growing trends in the world. With the ever increasing costs of utility bills it just makes sense for someone to use homemade solar power as an alternative energy resource. The thought of reducing your electric bill by 80% or even eliminating it completely is why this trend continues to grow every day.

But before you decide if homemade solar power is for you, some research must be preformed. You must decide if this alternative energy source is going to be cost effective. How long is it going to take for you to recoup your investment.

The job of building a homemade solar power system can be a very expensive project if you're going to outsource it and let someone else build it for you. I'm talking ,000 to ,000. However, many people decide to build their own which will reduce the cost dramatically. For the do-it-yourself person, a portable solar power system can be built for around 0 and all the parts can be purchased at your local hardware store. The parts you will need to purchase include a solar panel, charge controller, battery and an inverter. If you don't know what some of these things are, don't worry, there are several informative guides available on the internet to walk you through every step.

This type of system is nice due to the simplicity and the fact that it's portable and it can take it anywhere you like. With a small system like this, you can recoup you investment in as little as two weeks.
